In late 2010, I was invited out to Broken Hill and Fowlers Gap to take part in a 350.org project. My mum, sister and I took 3 days to drive the 1200km to Fowlers Gap. Driving through many little towns including over the Blue Mountains, Lithgow, Bathurst, Orange and many many more before we arrived in Cobar for the night and of course to see the big beer can. The next morning we set out to Broken Hill staying at Mario’s Palace and a look around town at Pro Harts studio and the Living Desert Sculpture Park. The next morning out on the semi-dirt road to Fowlers Gap to meet up with the group for the project which is approximately 100km north of Broken Hill along the sealed and unsealed Silver City Highway heading north into the desert.
It was a pretty incredible trip out there, one I hope to make again soon.
