In 2007 I was invited to exhibit some of my artworks by Galleri Van Bau in Vestfossen. So off we went to Europe. Norway was, flooded! But that aside, I was not really prepared for the long day light period, I didn’t realise how much I relied on the sun for time markers during my day.
We stayed with my wonderful friend Petter, who housed us for the week, drove us to and from the gallery, too us all over Oslo to galleries and museums, saw cool stuff like Viking boats, a Candida Hofer and Sally Mann exhibition I’d have never seen other wise. I’m looking forward to our return trip when I dont have to spend a week in a gallery, but maybe see some more stuff of Norway.
Its the farthest I have ever been from home.
